POP 5th and 7th Grade Students Win DPL Golf Championships

Not one, but two teams of POP Star student-athletes are DPL Champions!

The DPL Golf Tournament was a hole-in-one for POP Star student-athletes. Students were shining as they competed against 36 teams of golfers from other diocesan schools. POP was well-represented by multiple teams of rising student-athletes in grades 6-8.

Congratulations to rising eighth-grade students Lee-Ann F., Matthew S., Naomi W., and Seth V. on a well-deserved DPL Championship! Not only did these elite golfers enjoy a tee-rific outing on the links, but the sweet taste of victory upon finishing with the lowest number of putts both in their age division and competition-wide.

Congratulations as well to rising sixth-grade students Micah M., Robbie O., Tyler O., and Anthony S. on an additional DPL Championship! With parent volunteers Mr. Massiette and Mr. Oonk in tow to caddy and occasionally coach, these elite golfers didn't only swing for the Stars but landed themselves in first place in their grade level division.
 

Altogether, student-athletes put on a dominant display as they navigated the course at Brookhaven Country Club. Congratulations to all of our teams of golfers on a phenomenal showing!
