How to Apply
Step 1: Submit an Application
New applications for the 2022-2023 school year may be submitted through the online application portal. In the portal, parents will create student and family profiles, upload required documents, and pay the non-refundable application fee of $100.
*Please note that our Admissions Committee will not review incomplete applications or render a decision until all required documents are received and the applicant's file is complete.
Step 2: Teacher Recommendation
In addition to the online application, your child's current teacher will need to complete an online evaluation to complete the application process. As you fill out your application, you will need to provide your current teacher's email address. He or she will complete the online evaluation that will be submitted directly to Prince of Peace Catholic School.
Step 3: Schedule Admissions Assessment
As part of the application process, prospective students are required to take an objective test over basic skills. The test measures the knowledge level and ability in the areas of reading, language, and mathematics. This enables us to evaluate the child’s academic needs and ensure appropriate placement. Assessment testing takes place at Prince of Peace Catholic School. There is a $50 fee per student.
Please register for the Admissions Assessment testing here: 2022 - 2023 Admissions Assessment Registration
*Please note that 5K & Kindergarten assessments last approximately 30 minutes, 1st - 3rd grade assessments last approximately 1 hour, and 4th - 8th grade assessments last approximately 2 hours.
Admission Decisions
Admission decisions are based on many factors, including: submission of all required forms, results of the assessment test, space limitations, and the availability of an educational program appropriate for the prospective student. Priority is given to returning students (currently enrolled and eligible to re-enroll) and qualified siblings of enrolled students.
If a student is not immediately accepted, he or she is placed on our waiting list for that current school year. The following criteria will determine admission for children on the waiting list:
- Qualified siblings of students enrolled at the school
- Length of time the family has been registered and active in the parish
- Participation in the parish stewardship program (making and fulfilling a signed pledge card for at least $1,000.00 per calendar year)
- Active volunteer participation in the Prince of Peace Catholic Community
- If applicable, a student’s previous history of Catholic schooling and the family’s support of Catholic values
