POP PALS

PALS Mission - Partnering, Advocating, Learning and Supporting one another by providing ideas, information, resources and a place to connect with other families to guide students to reach their God given potential.

Prayer for Students - Christ our Teacher, you dwell deep within each of our students; in those who struggle academically, and in those who excel;  in those who seek attention by acting out, and in those who remain silent and try to hide from notice;  in those surrounded by friends, and in those feeling lonely.  Give us the grace to know your presence in each of them and to respond to their needs as you would to ours. God guide us as we seek to inspire each student to shine to the fullest extent of his or her God-given potential. Amen

Technology

At Prince of Peace Catholic School, we provide each student with a technology-rich environment where digital age skills, such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity are fostered. Our goals for technology are:

  • To be seamlessly integrated to strengthen and enhance the rigor and relevance of curriculum content
  • To be a dynamic tool that can assist in maximizing the learning potential of each student
  • To empower students to create their own learning experiences in a digital learning environment

Technology not only fosters student engagement and achievement at Prince of Peace Catholic School, but it also supports communication and collaboration among students, parents, and faculty.

Our school uses many web-based applications and Apple apps.  Our internet usage is filtered by a firewall and content filter on our school's WiFi.

CLC and Lower School Students use school-owned iPads and Windows devices.

Upper School Students (5th - 8th grade) bring their own devices from home.

Wraparound Bullying Safe Environment Re-Certification

In order to continue working towards the safest environment for our students, Prince of Peace Catholic School is partnering with presenter and creator of Wraparound Bullying, Mardi Winder-Adams., M. Ed, CDM, BCC. Mardi has over 26 years of experience partnering with schools in creating anti-bullying environments and behaviors. The Wraparound Bullying program has been integrated into the Christ the King community as well as communities throughout the United States and Canada.

The implementation of this program into our community is of vital importance. Our faculty and staff went through this training, and now we are excited to introduce this program to parents. Moving forward, all parents/volunteers will be required to go through Wraparound Bullying training as part of their Safe Environment re-certification. We have created the following training times and dates in 2020 to meet the needs of everyone in our community. Morning and evening sessions are available for the following dates:

  • February 27, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • June 2, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • August 27, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • September 24, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • October 15, 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.

All trainings will be in St. Katharine's. To register for a Wraparound Bullying session, please visit: POP Wraparound Bullying.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Betty Coughlin. We recognize that this is a change for our community, but we are convinced that bringing everyone together to discuss bullying and conflict resolution is in the best interest of our students. Thank you in advance for partnering with us.
