Security Policies for Volunteers

To ensure the safety and well being of the students of Prince of Peace Catholic School, all volunteers and coordinators must complete the Safe Environment paperwork and training as stipulated by the Diocesan security requirements. In addition, all persons volunteering at Prince of Peace Catholic School are required to have clearance from an individual security background check prior to volunteering in any capacity at Prince of Peace Catholic School. No person may volunteer in any capacity unless and until they have been notified by the POP School Office of clearance through this procedure.

All persons volunteering at Prince of Peace Catholic School must have documented proof of their completion of a Diocesan approved Safe Environment training class annually. Volunteers who have previously completed the Safe Environment requirements may take on online refresher course.

Safe Environment On-Line Refresher Course

ONLINE SAFETY ENVIRONMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Go to website http://www.cathdal.org/

Click on Safety Environment

Click on Update Training (left side)

Under Update Training you will have a choice of five (5) different online S.E. options to choose from. It is required that you choose “What to do About Child Abuse.”

Please bring the completed test to Kristen Williams in the school office first so she can record the date. She will then pass it on to Kay Elliott.

If you are emailed a certificate please bring it to Kristen Williams in the school office so she can put it in your volunteer file.

School parent volunteers must turn their safe environment paperwork first to the school office. It will be recorded and then forwarded to the parish office.
